Frequently Asked Questions Q: What time does practice start in the morning and where? A: Practice is 7:00am to 8:45am for 11 and older and 8:30 to 10:00am for 10 and under. Practices are held at Garfield Park Pool across from Great Lakes Mall. Q: What time do the meets start and how often are they? A: Meets are every week on Saturdays starting with the Candy Bar Relay on June 14th. Meets run thru the end of July with Championships the first week of August. Swimmers are expected to be in the water at 7:00am for warm ups. Meets last until around 12:00 noon. Q: When will Spirit Wear be available for purchase? A: All spirit wear products are avaiable for online purchase now. Q: When will online registration be available? A: Online registration is now open. Q: Will I be able to pay using a checking account online? A: Yes. Only if you have a Paypal account. Credit cards will be accepted if you do not have a Paypal account. Q: What if I do not have a Paypal account? A: You will not have to have a Paypal account to make your registration payment. If you do have a Paypal account, you may pay using funds from that account. Q: As a parent, am I required to help with team meets? A: YES. All families are needed to help ensure a smooth swim meet. There are several jobs that need to be done. You will be required to fill out a form that asks what task that you would like to help with. This form must be filled out before you're child's registration will be accepted. You can find this form by clicking here. Q: Do you have to compete in every meet? A: No, but we would like for you to swim in every meet. You must practice at least 3 times in the current week to swim in that meet at the end of that week. Q: What if my child has never been on a swim team before. What is required for my child to join? A: You must be able to swim 1 lap of the pool without stopping (25 meters). Q: When will registration end? A: Registration has ended for the 2008 season. Q: When will be the last day to order swim suits and spirit wear? A: No orders will be taken after June 13th 2008. |
